"paper society" exhibition by jean jullien, held at publik gasan, showcases the creations he brought to life using paper. to ensure that visitors could best experience the process of how these works were conceived in jean jullien’s mind, youmin divided the space, planned the flow, and devised practical solutions for the exhibition.

palace dsm ginza

retail store design / dsm ginza / tokyo / 2024 

the palace store at dsm ginza is  inspired from a “japanese shoji screen”. taking full advantage of its corner location, mirrors were installed, and shoji screen box were placed as a central display. modular clothing racks and shelves were designed for versatile use, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

retail store design / apgujeong seoul / 2024 

for the british skating and fashion brand palace, the two-story flagship store is inspired from a “korean palace”. the concept is the juxatpose of korean traditional elements with palace dna. 
the interior utilizes traditional palace-style door frames to separate indoor and outdoor spaces, providing customers with diverse experiences. the furniture features modern adaptations of styles found in traditional palaces.

in october 2022, jean jullien held his first retrospective in seoul entitled jean jullien: “then, there.” in march 2023, the show will travel to the wooyang museum of contemporary art under a new title “still, there” and feature a selection of new paintings and an expanded room of sculptures made by artist nico jullien. youmin designed the exhibition to present his vast body of work in a way that allows visitors to easily connect with and enjoy it.

youmin designed Bingo, the gas station by peaches. the mirrored ceiling allows customers to see themselves and their cars while refueling.

smob hanam



sports park design / starfield hanam / korea / 2022

smob is new version of sports monster, and its spaces were newly designed. from the facade, which marks the beginning of smob, to the interior furniture and colors, the entire space was infused with smob’s fresh energy, enhancing the enjoyment of this new sports-themed amusement park. notably, led pillars at the entrance and the center of the space were incorporated to display dynamic visuals each season, providing visitors with a unique and ever-changing experience.

youmin designed “d8ne,” the headquarters of peaches, a leading brand in street car culture. this multifunctional space offers a variety of attractions, including car exhibitions, events, a clothing store, a restaurant, a hookah bar, and a skate park. to ensure visitors enjoy a fresh experience with every visit, the space is equipped with movable furniture and a large screen, allowing for flexible and dynamic transformations.

through a collaboration with renowned artist jean jullien and creative director jaehuh, youmin designed and produced a wall clock for their brand nounou. the clock’s playful design features a mustache that changes position with the passing of time, adding a touch of wit and vibrancy.

the second camper together store, created in collaboration with jaehuh, is centered around the concept “good shoes take to good places.” utilizing a tunnel-like structure, the space transports visitors into camper’s virtual world, offering a unique experience through exclusive visuals and sounds activated by customer interaction.
